Massive Memorial Service for Assassinated Martyr Charlie Kirk Launches a Christian Revival

GLENDALE, Arizona – An estimated crowd of 200,000 attended a lengthy, unprecedented memorial service at State Farm Stadium for Turning Point USA (TPUSA) co-founder and CEO Charlie Kirk on Sunday. The theme of the event was a Christian revival, with many of the speakers emphasizing how Kirk, a martyr who was assassinated for his Christian beliefs, would have wanted his death to launch a revival.
Kirk made his Christian faith central to his mission with TPUSA, along with family values. Speakers emphasized that his death marked a “Turning Point” for revival. Pastor Rob McCoy, known as “Charlie’s pastor,” called for those to stand who wanted to become Christians, with many responding.
The alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, reportedly told his parents he shot Kirk because “there is too much evil and the guy spreads too much hate.” Robinson, who is in a relationship with a transgender, fatally shot Kirk at an event in Utah on September 10, immediately after Kirk had denounced transgender violence.
President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and the entire White House cabinet traveled to Arizona for the service. There is no record of this ever happening before in U.S. history, even for the services of previous presidents. Many top leaders in the conservative movement attended and spoke.

The service displayed various video clips of Kirk speaking about his faith, some almost foreshadowing his martyrdom. He was asked, “If everything completely goes away, what do you want to be remembered for?” Kirk responded, “I want to be remembered for the courage of my faith.” Another statement he made was, “Turning Point will live longer than me. That’s my mission.”
Trump, who was seen sitting next to Elon Musk, said during his talk, “We have to bring religion back to America.” He referred to the event as an “oldtime revival.” Trump said, “Our greatest evangelist for American liberty became immortal.”
Musk posted on his X platform during the service, “Charlie was murdered by the Dark for showing people the Light.”
Kirk’s wife Erika, who is replacing him as TPUSA CEO, provided the most moving and tearful testimony. She quoted Jesus when he was dying, “When Jesus was hanging on the cross, he said, ‘Father forgive them for they not know what they do.’” She then forgave Robinson. She noted that instead of violence and riots after Kirk’s assassination, there was revival, which Charlie had prayed for. She announced that Turning Point Faith will be adding thousands of new pastors and congregations.
She said what kept their marriage strong despite all his traveling was love notes. Kirk wrote her one every Saturday and never missed a Saturday. He would ask her how he could better serve her as a husband.
Vance said, “It is better to be persecuted for your faith than deny the kingship of Christ.” He noted that “Charlie treated staffers as well as he did the president of the United States.”
Vance said Kirk brought the truth that marriage and family is more important than careers.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio told the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. He also said, “The highest calling we are up to is to be in a successful marriage and to raise productive children.”
Donald Trump Jr. pointed out during his talk that although Kirk had one of the biggest platforms in the conservative movement, he gave his microphone to his opponents, allowing them to debate him during events. “To say Charlie knew more about the Bible than me is an understatement, folks,” he added. “It’s like saying Donald Trump knows more about being president than Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris.”
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. said, “We also give a kind of immortality to the person who left us, because their work continues through us.”
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said, “Charlie had big plans. But God had even bigger plans,” alluding to the revival taking place. “The devil overplayed his hand.” He said the name Kirk means church, so everyone at the service is in “Charlie’s church.”
Tucker Carlson began his speech, “This is the most unbelievable thing I think I’ve ever seen.”
He said that any attempt to extinguish the light just causes it to burn brighter. He said Kirk was doing what his opponents hate the most, calling for them to repent.
Turning Point Action CEO Tyler Bowyer, who co-founded TPUSA with Kirk, relayed a humorous story regarding how Erika initially wanted to work for TPUSA, but Kirk wanted to date her instead. Bowyer thought she was out of his league, and that Kirk’s romantic interest would cost him a great employee, but Kirk was persistent and got his girl.
Since the stadium only seats 70,000 to 80,000 at maximum capacity, many attendees were placed in an overflow arena or watched outside on large screens. Millions more watched the service remotely through video streams. It likely set a record for in-person attendance at a non-elected official’s memorial.
